The journey began with Niyah's love for baking, which started when she participated in a culinary course during high school. What began as a class quickly grew into a passion as she discovered the joy of creating desserts and the artistry behind baking.
As her skills and creativity grew, Niyah shared that passion with her mother, Tamara, introducing her to the beauty and craft of baking. What started as moments spent learning together in the kitchen soon became something much deeper. Baking became a way for them to bond, create, and dream about building something meaningful for their family's future.
The Heart Behind the Name
Treats by Lani is named after Nailani, Tamara's granddaughter and Niyah's daughter — the inspiration behind it all.
Nailani represents the next generation, and this business was created with her future in mind. Tamara and Niyah want her to grow up seeing what determination, creativity, and entrepreneurship look like in real life. They hope she learns that with faith, hard work, and passion, dreams can grow into something beautiful.
